This is a tut on how to make your product inherit the same skin texture as your avatar. This is often used on penises, furry tails / paws / muzzles, and extra arms / legs.
I am taking a guess that what you want is for your product to 'inherit' the same skin texture as the user is currently wearing.
Try setting your material ID to 7, the same as the imvu skin. I've not done this myself but would try this as my first shot. Then, whatever skin the avatar wears will show on your product.
Just pick the xrf for the body/skin from the pulldown in the previewer and it'll apply the avi's skin texture to your material It's called female_naked_anime or something like that. I forget Doesn't matter what ID you assign in Max.
