New Features
- Port over the cache busting system from newer phpbb versions.
- This will allow us to make changes to the site's assets such as css and javascript without you guys having to manually refresh your cache to see the changes. Without a cache busting system the site can appear broken when changes are made and the browser is still using a cached version of the old files. The most recent example of this was the nav menu update a couple months back.
- Complete the Post Thanks mod.
- The post thanks mod is a new system that allows you guys to thank people for post they make. The number of thanks you've received given will be displayed on the profile page and there will be a page where you can browse all of your thanks (received and given) and see who has the most thanks. This will hopefully cut down on the thank you posts and help posters feel more appreciated.
- Complete the Events Mod.
- The events mod is a new system that will let you guys plan events for IMVU.
- Complete the new medit logging system
- The new medit logging system will let you guys better track how you're earning and spending your medits and let admins better track abuse. It will log way more than the current system does such as lottery ticket purchases, lottery wins, post creations and edits and more.
Improvements & Fixes
- Clean up the Moderator Control Panel to make it easier for our staff to digest the information displayed there and better handle reports.
- Clean up the User Control Panel to make it easier for newer members to find the settings they are looking for and older members to discover settings they didn't know existed.
- Clean up the PRB 2.0 main page to make it easier for Black Market customers to browse their uploaded products.
- Clean up the advertisements on the index page to make them easier to understand and improve sales for everyone.
- Fix advertisement price not displaying on the index.
- Re write the html & css code that powers displaying topic information so it can once again be used in places that need it such as the Moderator/User Control Panel. (Requires the cache busting port first)
- Re write the Fake Message generator to make it easier to use with a better code layout and new features such as automatic screenshot generation.
- Re write the Fake Room Card generator to make it easier to use with a better code layout and new features such as automatic screenshot generation.
- Re write the Fake Avatar Card generator to make it easier to use with a better code layout and new features such as automatic screenshot generation.
- Clean up the member search page to improve readability and remove old back-end code.
- Re design the way all of our web apps are built and stored on the server to make it easier to build and maintain new apps.
Mobile Improvements
- Create a mobile friendly nav menu that only appears when the browser width becomes small enough. The menu will be very simple with just our sites name and a button to toggle a sidebar menu from the right with links to the most relevant areas of the site (recent topics, inbox, market, etc..) and login/register controls for non registered/signed in visitors.
- Reduce the index page to a single column layout on small screens.
- Make the forum boxes on the forumlist collapsible.
- Reduce the amount of information displayed for each forum in the forum list on small screens.
- Make posts and PMs more compact by moving the poster info above the post content, reducing the amount of poster data displayed and removing/moving post controls.
- Minor tweaks and adjustments to font sizes and content layout on the viewforum page.
