Removing unseen original assets?

I recently have been working on deriving a dance product. I kept 2/10 of the already included animation triggers, and then added my own dance files to basically make a custom dance box.

Some things I ran into doing that have raised questions for me & am hoping someone may have some suggestions that could help..

In editor, the product only shows around an extra 800 kbs when completed.. When I put it on in dressup/rooms after publishing - it's over 2,000 kbs. When I examined the product again in editor, I noticed the assets shown are only the files I added but none of the original files however I still have option to choose the other .XAF files. Is it possible these files can change the size of the product? How do I remove these files?

Does anyone know how I can make the product smaller when used after upload?

If you have any other help, Im welcome to hearing about it! I am always interested in learning something new.

Note: I do not have any programs that can create meshes.

the product takes the size of the original product you derive from and adds the size of your assets on top thats why the size looks bigger after you submit it

my advice make sure you derive from the original product not from others who already derived from it

Thank you for the advice! I used the closest to original derivation I could. The original is hidden in shop.. Is there still no way to remove what is on the product I used and make it smaller? Do you think it would be better to have just used a blank box instead?

When it comes to deriving, you don't have many options when it comes to optimization.

You can reduce the resolution of your textures, remove unwanted actions, replace the mesh or remove unwanted nodes.

If you're deriving from something with actions you'd probably want said actions so that's not an option.

Adding your own mesh is usually not an option either cause typically if you're deriving it's because you don't know how to mesh (not always of course).

Removing unwanted nodes is sorta treading on plundering territory because you would usually need to rip the parent to get access to the xsf. Then you need to decompile it using my skeleton decompiler and finally you need to have the knowledge of the xsf xml structure to be able to modify it. But just like with the actions, you tend to want the nodes.

@D.M
if I have the xsf files.. Where would I find the skeleton decompiler?
I actually do not need all the nodes & dont need all the other assets.. So after I decompile, I just have to be able to see what is what within the structure of the file?
