Hi guys, I am just wondering what payment methods do sellers normally use?

I am only able to collect payments through paypal.

I used to ask ppl to send me the payment directly to my PayPal email.
I am also trying to use invoices.
Some customers have also sent me payment via friends & family [ WARNING : This seller appears to have requested payment via friends & family. This seller may be attempting to scam you via the PayPal friends & family scam which voids all buyer protection. If you pay via friends & family, we will not be able to protect you if the seller does not deliver. ] before in an attempt to skip paying paypal fees.

So which methods are preferable?

What about paypal fees? Do you guys charge customers extra or do you ask them to cover the fees? Or do you cover the fees?

The majority of sellers use PayPal but you can use pretty much whatever you want. My primary accepted payment type is PayPal (paypal balance or credit/debit card) but I also accept Amazon gift cards and occasionally IMVU credits.

If you use PayPal, use our built in billing system, it takes care of everything for you. Our site has a special BBCode that you can use to generate bills for your customers.

Here is the BBCode syntax


Here is an example $25 bill:


Using our Bill BBCode will create a link to PayPal for your customers to click that takes them to a page with the amount already filled out. They can then chose to use their PayPal balance or their credit/debit card.


If you do not use our built in billing system, keep in mind it is against our rules to ask customers to use F&F with PayPal as it removes the buyer protection (which is why scammers use it).

Sorry I have another question regarding the bill syntax. So does the process work the same way s a normal paypal payment?
Like after they pay the bill, the money will go directly into my PayPal account?

I checked it and the last button after you fill out your information is called "confirm donation and continue" or something like that. Isnt that suspicious to call it a donation?

Yes, the money automatically goes into your account. It's not suspicious at all, making a donation gives the buyer protection in case they get scammed.

Ah i thought donations implied like no transaction of goods, like a gift.

I had just recently posted about a certain payment method that i want to use. Though after reading this comment, you cleared it all up for me... So thank you

You would have to send a PM to the individual seller, asking them if they would accept your IMVU gift card. The Black Market is an open market with many different sellers. Everyone seems to accept something different.

I personally use paypal only becuase it is so much easier to use then the other options! plus they have support incase you get scammed or something. I been pn the site for I believe 1-2 years every purchase (besides poses and triggers) credits I have bought I send the seller through paypal. Simple easy done.
