I've been taking close attention to the VIP Forum. They say that it's still valid for the new tier vips, which is a good thing. But I'm also hearing that the days are decreasing (There was a guy who claimed to buy a 3 month vip card, but only received 2 months with the new tier system..
This subject is really turning into a dumpster fire in the whole community. And to throw more gas to the fire, the "Lead Moderator" said that the Classic will be retiring in 1-2 Years in that forum, (Yeah

bruh...1-2 years left for classic?! nooo!!! i understand that they're focusing on the new client but from what i've heard so far is just a ton of bugs, glitches, things not working, etc. so i dont think im gonna download the new client just yet...

yeah the whole discussion on there is whole shitshow!!! where did the lead mod say that 1-2 years that classic will be retiring? can u link it to me plz? thx

I find pretty funny when they talk about "honoring" your vip membership for another year like they are doing us a favor by delivering what we purchased.

@Don Von Alpha Dom….if imvu classic will no longer be available…what would happen to imvulite and deep client? They are base on the classic imvu right? Is this why they are pushing creator to use the new create? This will take a lot of people out of imvu….

I went to live web chat and asked what steps did I need to take to get this special they were talking about

They danced all around that and gave no help at all. In fact they told me to come back when my account was ended at end of the yr. and as far as gift cards go they said they are having problems getting them to work with there new system. Someone else I talked to said they are excepting gift cards right now and its all who you talk to. So family if you dont like what one person tells you and it dont sound right try someone else. IMVU is playing games with us and our accounts.

Also once you get the new tier if you have 10 rooms up you better take 5 down or they will and you may have to fix them rooms all over again. Some people worked very hard setting up rooms. Just to have IMVU rip all these room down on IMVU now is going to look pretty bare. Some say you might not even get those rooms back if IMVU takes them rooms down for you. No one trust IMVU no more and that's so sad. They are leaving it to all the new people coming in that don't know any difference and what IMVU was before they came now.

If it becomes necessary, we will attempt to modify whatever client they replace the classic one with. I can't guarantee it will have all the same features or if we'll even be able to succeed but we will try.

Hopefully though the new client won't include all the things that make IMUVLite necessary though.

Unfortunately if Classic is really going to be retiring soon, I'm probably going to retire also and try to test out SL more like KoKoNyny did. Even though I think almost every part of the new client is horrible compared to the classic (in my opinion of course),I could try to get used to, but the graphic downgrade and the fact that products that I use in my avatar get bugged in the new client is unacceptable for me.

The only way they would listen would be if people started voting with their wallet, but unfortunately that won't happen.

Pretty sure its going to be the "Desktop version". Just on curiosity Datamine, did you already gave a look on the Desktop version code? And is it the same language as the classic one?
