Permanently banned - “child endangerment” • IMVU Mafias

hi, my account was recently permanently banned for “child endangerment” I don’t know what was the main reason behind it and the support wont cooperate and provide information about this ban, has this ever happened to anyone? And is it recommended to appeal? As far as i know they never give permanently banned accounts back.

The only time I have seen that ban ... was a woman who got caught running a GA under 18 strip club. It normally means you got caught saying or doing something naughty with an under 18 user. The user might have had "N/A" shown as their age ...

LOL this is so dumb, anyway I really appreciate ur response u gave me some point of view even tho im still clueless, honestly how was I even supposed to know that ? like as far as I know minors r not even allowed to be on imvu isnt it from above 17yrs old?
Like i cant even prove my point to them since they wont give me information what is it about

i believe it used to the case....but as of rn...vu is 13+ but ofc anyone can make an account and just simply put in a random birthday.

As far back as I can remember, IMVU has been 13+. They started selling IMVU gift cards in toy stores back in 2007.

The only separation IMVU makes between the two age groups ... is users over 18 can only search rooms hosted by users over 18, and users under 18 can only search rooms hosted by users under 18. BUT, you can still join the rooms of the other age groups if someone invites you directly or if you have a direct link to the room ... which is extremely easy to get. You can still view each other's profiles, and private chat, and view pictures.

The only ways you can sort of guarantee you are talking to an adult, is if they have their age visible and they have purchased the age check badge. Or, if they have AP / are in an AP room.

yea, It makes sense omg. it makes me sick to my stomach. THE THING IS, if they said that they have "evidence" so does that mean that they know 100% that the other person is a minor and that the other person informed me that he is a minor? like how da hell was i supposed to know literally anyone can lie about their age, when i called the costuemr support, the girl that answered me started laughing probably because the ban was for a retarded reason even tho she said she couldn't provide information, they kept on torturing me, telling me to call later in 2 hours and after I did they kept on saying the same thing just to get me off their back

im guessing by "evidence" it's probably the chat log...but yeah...safe bet is to make sure that the person ur talking to has the age verify badge on their profile card or u can just simply ask them to make sure that their age is 18+ i know that some people do put in a different birthday cuz they don't wanna give vu their real info so they would just put in a birthday that's like near their real one lol

You can always ask for their manager / supervisor. Then ... just keep talking. Slowly wheedle the information out of them. I've known people who tied up their management for hours / days / months, till they finally got the information they needed.

I wish it was as easier as it sounds, I alredy asked for their supervisor for 10 times XD literally everytime i was told "he is busy, call us back in 2 hours" repeatedly, or once I got answered and i instantly asked for a supervisor and the guy said "i am the supervisor but i'm from the billing department so i cannot help u' i was literally like what is this, it's literally worse than talking to bots.
It's almost like they are doing it on purpose, Well i just opened a case and I asked for a supervisor to check it, hopefully it helps because honestly i don't ever recall having any sexual conversation with anyone whether it's a minor or an adult, that's just not the way i act.
