Hey, i want to watch a movie with my friend in imvu, but we pretty much can watch only from youtube,dailymotion,vimeo, but we cant find good movies on youtube like we find in streaming sites.. so anyone know how to watch a movies from streaming sites like 123movies,fmovies with someone over internet with chat facility ?

use rabb.it you can watch anything on internet with people.

I've used rabb.it before. In my opinion it's only worth using if you're watching Netflix. Otherwise the virtual environment technology it's built on is too slow and the YouTube search is an absolute joke.

For watching YouTube with friends I suggest using https://togethertube.com/, the search is much better and it's a lot faster. Though it's has a few issues like always defaulting to 480p when a new video plays and the only way to fullscreen a video is to click on it and hit "F".

The best option in my opinion is the new Skype (Skype Preview) it has an option built in to stream audio and share screens so you can just playing things for other people in a call from your computer. No lag, no search issues etc..

Yes it works. I wasn't denying that. My point was there are better options for YouTube and other sites.

i remember, theres a movie player at shop which is could play any movie by video links,
just upload the movie u wanted to dropbox, copy video link, and paste at the movie player.
u could watch any movie with ur friends on imvu then

PLAY MOVIES FROM DROPBOX:

Upload FLV or MPEG4 H.264 (MP4/AVI/MOV that are encoded in H.264 - other formats are not supported by Flash Technology on IMVU) movies to your dropbox account

After file is uploaded on dropbox list, click SHARE LINK and then click GET LINK to get direct stream link from dropbox

Follow steps on PLAY OWN CHANNEL OR MOVIE LINKS

Movies can be also played from other servers, but it requires to have direct link to movie file and server with fast enough internet connection

New user will see movie from the beginning

Hi, I'm currently working on getting movies to play, I'm having some success but my question is will Imvu see this as a copyright infringement? does anyone know? My guess is probably yes cause they ban everything good.. Thanks

The best thing is to do what everyone else does and thats go to a room and use a share screen. Ive used movie players in imvu shop with out any problems with group of friends and watched youtube and from other sites but you just have to know how to copy the web links into the player from other sites. The dev on the creators page should tell you how to do all that if you go that route. But I thing now there are so many new ways to share screens I have even heard of some use web cams and played movies from there own tv's and let others watch like that. So weather you use a webcam, skype, or imvu player or an group office or family chat program I think if you google you will find something you like. Try and play around and see whats easy and what works best for you.
