Retired/Disabled Names List

So while working on some web tools for our site I discovered a user identification number range that has a lot of retired and a few disabled names in it. Out of curiosity I wrote a program to scan this CID range to see how many retired/disabled names I could find in it. So far I have discovered over 19,000 retired names and I have recently discovered how far back this range goes so I know I could find tons more.

Now, this started out as simple curiosity to me and I never planned to do anything with it but then I read on the IMVU forums that retired names are old disabled names that are eligible for re use. So I wondered if anyone would be interested in having this list so they could check for names they might want.

If there is any interest in these names, let me know in this thread and I'll start posting the list as I build it.

yea would be nice to have this.i always need new names lol
also a disabled list might come in handy if they are devs you can still checkout their catalog and remake some of their stuff without worring about dmga right?

I am currently trying to make the list a bit more manageable. After leaving my program running for an hour, it generated a 20gb text file containing a couple hundred thousands names.

Now obviously, I cannot put up a 20gb file for download so I am thinking of ways of reducing the size. At the moment it takes all 26gb of my ram to open this file in any editor capable of loading it. I will probably split the list into parts till I can find a better solution.

Since it only took an hour to accumulate enough names to make a file 20GB in size, why not just edit the program slightly to have a line/file size limit and check the number of lines which have currently been written to the file and the current size of the file? Then after the limit was neared, it'd only be matter of creating a new file and continuing where you'd left off. As for further reducing the file size, you could later add the txt files in groups to a set of RAR Archives and chose whatever compression works best.

I thought about that but I am not entirely sure the problem is the line count. I generated a disabled name list with over a million lines and it only came out to 400mb. So I am wondering if there is something wrong with my code that is causing such a huge file size.

Also, since the output is a single list, I need to figure out an efficient way to implement file splitting in the save function. Up until now I never needed to save to multiple files in this manor in any of my programs so that will be an interesting challenge to over come.

Testing out some code now that should save the list in a much more manageable way.
