Is Creating on IMVU still viable?

I have not use IMVU for over 8 years and recently just got back to it. Alot of things have changed, including the terrible idea of removing the reseller functions unfortunately. I looked :kat_emoji13: at my sales in recent years and it has been a far cry from the gold days :kat_emoji13: . Wondering if the current creators still make good sales in IMVU - is it even worth to go back to creating or I should be looking elsewhere. It was fun in the old days, sales were average but not that bad.

Is making 0.1-0.3 USD a day below or the average :kat_emoji17:

Yea there is still a lot of re-sellers out there. Price range is around 40 USD for 100k direct transfer

You can also make sales for cash instead of credits. If you enjoy creating then create, don't worry about sales. They will come. If you create solely to make money you're gonna have a bad time.

Thank you. Do you by any chance know if there are official resellers? Or we can just try out luck posting on forums for buyers..Thanks for your advice in advance. :)!

@DataMine

I noticed, it just that my past sales have been high, easily 1 million credits in a few months, I went back to IMVU and noticed I hardly make 0.3 USD a day - not sure if it is normal or is the sales just lower in recent years. My friends are long gone, not sure if they are worth investing my time to pick it back up again or sell my account with 4million credits in it. :)

n my second main account with only less than 10 items, I also used to make 1million credits a year,and since I switch to cash 5 years ago, it only made 2dollars. :zipperlips: :panda33: Just wondering if it is because I wasn't active- therefore the sales dropped or is this the new norm? Creator discussion forums in IMVU seems quiet, it was still supportive and active when I left IMVU, now I don't know who and where to consult anymore. :please: :awesome28:

I realized that you allow credits sales in this forum - that is great!! Sorry for being daft, I thought resellers were still like those from years ago where there is a website buying credits from creators then selling them to make a margin to consumers. Realized things have changed alot now, best way is probably to sell under IMVUMafias :):) if I can become established eventually one day :p. Will try to remain active and help out around here. :)

I am actually really really glad to see this website, it reminds me of the old IMVU community where people and creators are very supportive to one another.
Back in the days when I first started out, I was LadyElvenStar apprentice, she helped me got started and I slowly grew my catalog from there. There was a very participative and active forums discussion where many creators will help each other with critiquing each other works, advertising, learning to texture etc.. We took turns to hold contest for new folks to learn how to derive/give credits as rewards to help people get started, take custom request and gift each other personalized products for reviews and laughs. Now most groups/discussion I checked out on IMVU are pretty much inactive...Sigh. Thank you all for keeping things here really supportive like before!

Don't mind the long post.. I am just feeling really nostalgic (T-T)

I'd love to make money off of my deving, but for it to be worth it you'd need to make like 2 million a month. That's my opinion though, basically I've decided I'd only switch to their cash program if it amounted to a part time job wage.

I've been deving a lot over the past two months, I am slowly creeping up in sales. Last month I tripled my average sales, this month I've made about 2k more than last. You really have to keep pumping out products for it to be worth it. The more you dev, the more your stuff shows. Your stuff gets lost in the shuffle otherwise. That's what I've noticed.
