IMVU removing orientations?

Kinda an old thread but I just wanted to say something.

As a bisexual person, IMVU has been a big part in discovering my sexuality. Seeing how many bi and gay people were around me made me realize how normal it is to not be straight. I came to terms with being bi with the fact that I felt so uncomfortable having my profile say "straight".

BUT ON THAT NOTE

While it does suck that they're removing the orientation section, I'll just have to put up with having it in my interests. LMAo

Honestly imvu removing their orientations is just apart of a bigger picture going on in the US with allowing the "LGBT" community to blend into society with ease, i for one am against it because before it was already so difficult to determine who really is a female and who really is a male on imvu now their making it okay for people to mix genders almost like its accepted. Like i said, this is just part of a bigger picture going on outside in the real world and its even starting to affect us in our gaming world.

Removing orientations on IMVU had nothing at all to do with the LGBT community nor the US. The change was required by UK law, based on privacy concerns. IMVU inc made the change right before the UK's new online privacy laws were enforced, else the UK was going to ban IMVU inc from doing business within the UK.

woah i had no idea that imvu had an orientation section! kinda sucks that people have to put it in their bios now though

I think the time we live in today is all about rights. So many kids today are upset they are born the wrong sex and if they could change it in a snap they would. Does removing gender from the imvu card make a difference really? I mean really now? Come on we all know people lie and so dishonest on IMVU It doesn't matter what is on a card you cant see who is sitting behind that screen. Alot of people I use to have on my friends when I 1st started out would change there gender or just go to another account with another age. So who is anyone really on the net?
