Hello,
go to your account page on the imvu website (not the client), then scroll down to i believe the second block of settings, it will have disable AP music filter below that it will say, make yourself unsearchable, then below that it will have make yourself invisible. click on make invisible 1st then click on make unsearchable otherwise you will be unsearchable yet they can still see your account stuff visable unless marked invisible. then click save or update button cant remember exactly whats on the button.. then below that you will see a long list of drop boxes look at each one find the one that says something like show friends list click on that and mark either only myself or off then click update submit button to save the settings. Each of these can be set to everyone, over 18, AP only, only myself or off. Which is pretty self explanatory but if u dont want others to msg you unless they are your friend then click on msg and put friends only, click update, now scroll down to where it says show latest visitors, click on it and select only myself, or off, then save button for that block set of settings, this will hide anyone that visits your homepage from seeing who else has visited, I set mine to only myself that way i can see who visits but not other visitors. Also somewhere in that same area of settings there will be a question about allowing others to see what your avie is wearing, if privacy is your goal then i would click to hide what my avie is wearing. Also click on allow you to be able to view AP products that is if u are AP. Just make sure that you save your settings before you leave your account page otherwise u will have to go back and redo it all over again. Also if u dont want others to see your online status then on your client, up at the right hand corner where you log out, click on status and then click on do not disturb this will make your account appear offline. then go to the settings tab and uncheck the box if checked that says show location, also uncheck that damn chat now and people waiting to chat, that crap is annoying unless you like having a pop up each time the randomizer thing lands on your account to be set up on a blind chat type thing lol. this are the main things that puts your account visible to others. Now until you decide you want your location and online status to be known just leave these settings unchecked.
