We have received disturbing reports from members of our family that IMVU users are being targeted by a phishing scam using a phone app called KIK. KIK is a social messaging app that can be used to send messages to people. The scammers are contacting people over KIK, claiming to be member of The IMVU Mafias staff and are offering tech support for IMVU in exchange for passwords. Our staff will never ask you for your password. Also, none of our staff use KIK. If someone contacts you over KIK claiming to be a member of our staff, they are trying to fool you. Don't fall for it.
