Hmm, I found Hajime no Ippo to be pretty darn funny as well - which is something I did not expect out of an anime about boxing. I highly recommend it.

The best funnies anime i watched would be gran blue. One punch man is a good one too though. i love these both anime

there's this anime about a satan's son being raised by an excorsist it has a very good story, its one season and pretty funny, cheerful and exciting, it will make you laugh and cry at the same time its not full 100% comedy but i just feel like it should be up there i think the name is Blue excorsist go check it out its on netflix in english dubbed

To be honest alot of anime has their own built in comedy
Dragon Ball Super - Goku just being Goku is Comedic
One Punch Man - Big badguy monologue with the response of " Okay"
Bakemonogatari Series - Alot of sexual innuendos in this one
