Do the textures overlap? If not, then you can overlay them into a single simple texture.
If the textures do overlap, then the only way that I know to use different textures for the two of them is to make an image 4 times the size of what you need. Place the texture for one mesh in the top left corner of the image and place the texture for the other mesh in the top right corner of the image. You can then use the cell width / height to direct the area of the map that is used for each texture.
If the mesh is not encrypted, then you can take a shortcut and change the xmf file's material ID in notepad.
