I have been creating on IMVU for a year now. And me, being jobless, I'm able to create and keep creating due to me calling DaoPay almost 4 times a month.
Which, as you guessed, skyrockets my phone bill. The plan or subscription I have is a joint account between me, my brother and our parents.
Yes, due to unforeseen personal reasons I still live at home. And I may keep living at home if the government keeps on deciding that buying a house or even renting one should be more expensive than what a young couple can even pay.
Back to IMVU.
I have managed to put out some hairs, clothes, etc. with buying credits through my phone. Which most of the time costs my dad, 18 euros. 18 Euros times 4? Yeah, you can do the math.
It's not cheap... And I have yet to find a way for me to keep saving credits. Instead of getting to 2K and spending it all.
I have decided to even create a Gumroad and ko-fi shop to sell IMVU hair files on. Textures I have created. This way I earn a little money and can hopefully finance any subscriptions or IMVU even, with my own money.
But is it really worth it?
I mean — people, some of them, buy my stuff but I don't get 100K in return. (just an example)
I get 2K, 1K ... and that's all great! But I wish to get 100K for once. And the only way for me to get 100K is to keep creating.
Or dance my butt off in IMVU strip clubs. Or ... buy it through my phone.
I am horrible when it comes to saving money as is. Credits is even worse.
But is IMVU even worth it?
Yes, I love creating! I love to see people buy my stuff. I love it when people leave reviews, model my clothes, etc. But is wasting real life money really worth it? I don't think so.
And if I don't put money into IMVU, I won't be able to keep my shop open. If I don't keep my shop open, I don't have credit income and without that, well... I just have to keep buying credits instead of just, I don't know... relying on people buying my IMVU products.
I just wish there was an easier way...
I wish IMVU gave back to us. Especially to heavy spenders like me. It would help small shops a lot if IMVU can support us with a monthly allowance for example. Instead of opening up the creator centre and creating events like SBS, it would be fun to be supported by IMVU as well.
So I don't spend my whole bank account on a game that doesn't care and doesn't even bother to show it does, whether it's faked or not. I want to feel supported as a small shop.
