Here's what I think. I think you should never buy credits from IMVU, a person like me for example sells credits 50% off their actual price. NEVER spend on IMVU, period. You want to get affordable credits and make a successful shop.
I know where you're coming from, and I think the only way to be successful as a creator is follow originality, consistency, and creativity as main concepts. Since you love doing math, think about this: you get 50k credits for $25 from a guy like me, that's enough to last you a while creating. Once you make it to having a desirable shop, you'll get paid more and more. I'd suggest you monetize your products to 100% credits, and I can even sell you those but the amount of $ you'd be making is far higher than $25. I'd take my cut of course, but it's a win-win business. IMVU taxes you credits, and then even if you monetize your products to 100% money, the money made is pathetic, it's literally in pennies.
Now you can change your market niche or type of products...
