I wanna be... Your Princess, your most treasured possession, your babygirl, your best friend, your lover, your weakness, your strength, the one that makes you want to be a better man, your light in time of darkness. I wanna be... The one to sit with you when you feel alone, the one to raise you up when you feel down, the one to be your solid foundation when you feel you're sinking. Have you ever thought to yourself, "If I could do it all over again..." ?
So many times I've been asked this, to which I take a moment to contemplate the question, and then smile and reply "Although I'm not necessarily proud of everything that I did, I consider everything I did a stepping stone to which the final step will be to whom I will have become. Disappointments and regrets should not be looked down upon, but rather thought of as learning experiences to which we gain knowledge and empowerment and we become more of whom we portray ourselves to be." I may not have been born with a silver spoon in my mouth, but I consider myself very lucky to have been raised in the manner I was. I was raised by an older set of morals, those of my grandparents, as well as an appreciation for so many things that most just take for granted today. Your eyes pierce through me, dark and sleek

She stands alone, in a daze, as a single tear falls begotten
Her mind slips back to days filled with joy and laughter, not forgotten. Her body trembles remembering his breath, his touch, his love deep within Their joy, their happiness, their love all construed as a mortal sin. Then one fateful night, God's hand reached down from the heavens above To extinguish the raging flames of their desires and love. The words they speak ring in her ears, her mind swirling with hate She desperately tries to pull his tortured soul back from the almighty gate. She stands in a daze, as visions fleet by of the twisted wreckage of metal Broken glass, screams, bodies, lights, sirens, her mind just can't settle. She feels cheated and robbed as her world crashes down around her Time seems to stand still now as everything quickly slows to a blur. Treasured books, treasured looks All the childhood dreams Have faded, it would seem. Treasured grins, treasured wins Treasured skirts, treasured shirts You're growing into an adult from a child Becoming strong, from the meek and mild.
