Hello Mafia Members! I have an inquiry about an error message I receive whenever I have tried to upload a product I've purchased. This is my first time buying from the mafia, have I missed a step some how? This is the error message: "Unexpected response: {u'error': u'You are not permitted to submit products'.}" Any help is appreciated! Thank you very much

Do you have VIP or grandfathered account to post products in shop? If you are using IMVU Lite , you have Create Option but you can't pass products in shop once you didn't join the Creating Program

I am using imvu lite, I followed every step but it stops me, once I click upload. I need VIP or "Grandfathered" to upload? I never knew this

You must have a creator account in order to submit products. Grandfathered creator accounts are accounts who were creators before IMVU required VIP to create.

IMVULite only unlocks the ability to use create mode, it does not bypass the need for a creator account.

Ah, I see. I suppose I'll be saving up for VIP then, thank you both very much.

A option i have seen some do is send the files to someone you trust that has a account that can submit and have them do it and then gift the items to you.

I hate to rez an old thread, but this matched up with the search I did prior to making a new one.

I get this same exact error. However, I am VIP and have been for a few days now. To elaborate further, I'm currently at ~Step 10 in the process of acquiring my newly purchased goods from you fine folks. I'm trying to upload a generic GA product first as suggested. I chose to derive a new product and picked the plain yellow IMVU t-shirt. I'm also using IMVULite. I've done the regedit tweak suggested on the IMVULite page, making sure to use the correct directory specific to my system. Help me please.

UPDATE: Found out I had to register as a Creator. Duh, gosh.
