Derive from hidden products

Anyone know how to derive from a product that is hidden in the shop? I know there used to be methods but none I know of work anymore. Anyone got any good methods for this?

To my understanding, deriving from a product that is hidden is not possible or maybe it is if you have the product ID of the hidden product you can use it to derive from in create mode.

Not even with product id it says product doesn't exist when trying.

I just opened imvu to check some methods i had in mind. None of which worked. It would seem that when a product is hidden from the shop, deriving that product is disabled. i am sorry, it is not possible

Yeah, I thought maybe it would work if you used t3de but that did not work either.

You could try submitting a product and then try overriding its index file via an update to the product. The index file contains an import line that specifies the parent product in the derive chain.

Not sure if this would work, just throwing ideas out there.

If you like a Item that you cannot derive from the next best think is to check it's deviations and then select the lowest priced one and derive from that. Thats what I have done when running across some of those

It would work but I don't suggest it. If the person doesn't want you to derive from their product then respect their wishes and find something else to derive from.

there is a program for that called T3DE
