I came across this utility program while searching for alternative image optimizers to reduce file size of my IMVU screenshots and textures.

With this program you can make your png files smaller without losing much if any quality depending on the settings you chose. If you take lots of screenshots this can free up a lot of space on your hard drive. If you're a developer you can reduce the size of your products by optimizing the textures.


Pngyu
Pngyu is simple PNG image file compression tool.
Pngyu use pngquant as a compression engine.

Using this program I reduced the size of my IMVU screenshots collection by half saving 898mb! Almost 1gb of space recovered for new stuff. That means I could take another 6,200 screenshots doubling the size of my collection and be using the same amount of space as I was before.

I highly suggest trying this out for yourself. Free up some space on your computer for more stuff or to make transferring files quicker.

I prefer offline applications. I don't like uploading my files to a random server not under my control.

That has a download version as well for offline use. (i have that on my laptop to use)
