Is there a way to get a name change history for an account?

Name change history was removed sometime back.

Only other way would be intel gathering which takes some time researching which can result in only bits and pieces of their past.

yes you can only see your own name change history now unless they are developer then you can search them currrent and I have found new names and old names that way from their product pic

yes go to imvu-e.com, there u can view name history, avi cards, hidden location viewer, etc

Doesn't work if said target is using a VIP block on said website tho.

If they have a VIP block then you cant view it on imvu-e. There is another site called Provour-imvu you can view their information. However Provour is doing maintenence on the site but it will be up soon so keep checking there. You can view even if they have a VIP BLOCK on provour. Good luck!

Provur hasn't many informations as Emporium does. But they are in beta they say so maybe it gonna change later on.

1#. Go to community, click on messages under the drop down arrow, scroll down to the name you chatted with. If you see it, click on the name,now to your right hoover over that persons name and it will show your there new name.
2#. You can also try to run a CID number of the one your looking for . CID number will never change from the account it was created from no matter how many times a name change is made. So if you get the CID number and google the persons name it will alway bring up other names that might be that person as well or even there 2nd hidder account. If its there account your looking for just run the names that google gives you and see if the CID number matches,
3#. And one last trick is if they ever gave an review in shop with there old name google will show what they posted and what they said and all you have to do is go look at the creators shop and look at all the reviews and find the one that matches the one she/he posted and it will show the new avi name of that person.

Yep that's why I have some kind of database that I keep updated with some personal PHP scripts that do some check agains't some CID regulary. Because if they use a VIP block on Emporium or if the website is down you can't check their names history obviously.
