I think your friend needs to get the right cause of his/her account being disabled. Once they know the reason contact them again and assure that they would not do this again. If they are a paying member they can say that they have been a loyal member and was not aware that they were doing something that will get them banned.
If none works you could threaten with legal action but this will work only of you are a paying member.
