am i able to login while travelling? i have 2FA on!

I'm from Canada and once covid dies down and boarders open up again, my family will start travelling again. usually it's USA, Asia or UK/Europe. i have 2FA on but im still worried that imvu may disable my account cuz of different log ins since my account is registered in Canada. one of my friends has had their account disabled cuz they made their account in a different country and when they try to log in back in their home country it got disabled for a while. i dont want that to happen to me so i just wanna make sure that i'm still able to log in without any issues when travelling again.


i did get one answer which was "to advised to let customer service know if you will be traveling. Include where, how long etc. IMVU does place accounts on hold as a security measure." but i feel that would get very exhausting to contact them every time i'll be out of town :/

just add in something here that i forgot to add in earlier is that one of the another user asked if they can still log into imvu they're from Malaysia and going to Japan...one person answered saying that "You should be able to login from any country (friendly with the USA) while traveling. If you are concerned about the different logins being detected by IMVU I would start a Help Case Ticket and discuss it with IMVU Staff before you travel. This may be a good idea, to let IMVU know before hand. There are anti-account-theft detection systems in affect that may trigger while traveling abroad. As far as not being able to login or login speed this would be up to the remote Internet Provider, Firewall, etc. at the location you are trying to use to connect. If you have issues getting Internet or Logging in, discuss it with the local provider while abroad."

please note that i will only be on the mobile app not on pc. so far i've travelled to 2 places but they're not outside of my country so im not sure if i had to be outside of my country in order for imvu to detect the different log in...only had one friend telling me they had no issues with logging into the app when he travelled to Greece.

We have another member who travels between countries. He uses a VPN that spoofs his home country whenever he goes out of town. If he forgets to startup his VPN though ... they always disable his account and he has to contact support to get the issue resolved. He normally gets disabled at least once a month, because he travels weekly and does not always remember to startup his VPN.

The problem with the VPN solution is, if a VPN blocks IMVU's built in spyware from working properly (which some VPN's do), IMVU staff has been known to disable people permanently for "unauthorized client" usage, as blocking their spyware sometimes shows up as a client modification on their end.

uh oh! well i'll only be on mobile when travelling but im not still sure if imvu will disabled my account even though it's on the app. im not too familiar with VPN's since the only one i've used is for work :P

Just don't use NordVPN for anything important or sensitive, they're known to lie about what data they collect, how long they keep it for and who they give that data too. There's a reason they are heavily advertises. Just bear that in mind.

yeah i kinda figured something was up when a bunch of youtubers i watch were getting sponsored by them and other VPN services. either way...i checked the imvu discussions and seems like they rather not have users use a VPN.

I use avast ultimate on all my computers..including avast vpn...so as the portable laptop that i use to travel.......i travel USA and all of Asia.....mostly Japan....and Philippines....and USA....so far i don't have a problem on imvu LOG INS.....I hope this continues..I still use imvu lite as well...but i make sure i clean my cashe every log in.....and use my premier avast ....avast anti tract and avast cleaner....i dont really know if this helps but i have been doing this for years now....But just recently i lost my alt account using t3de....i think it has something to do with a non creator account using the create mode? I am not sure.....because looking at my logs i notice that they tract your account really good.....well i hope imvu stops this...and putting bugs while using the client.....if you look at your imvu logs.....you will know what i am saying. Anyway....Goodluck to all....I am not an expert on this....just sharing my experience....stay safe everyone.
