Is IMVU straight up stealing from you and lying about money?

So i've had an ammount of money on my 'available cash balance' tab and i requested just half of it. In the next few days when i went to check on the payout status it was still pending but all my cash balance was gone. I had a support ticket submitted and after a week+ i've made an certain ammount of money back they finally answered to the ticket saying that they sent me an ammount of money on my PayPal (way bigger than i usually request, like the triple ammount) and that was an error on their end. Thing that NEVER happened, i've never received such ammount on my PayPal account. And further more they said that they retracted a big ammount of those money from MY cash balance on IMVU ( implying that was way more than they actually took ) and i still have a debt to them. And funny enough the ''debt'' is the exact same ammount i've got on my cash balance at the time they answered.

My question is, should i send them proof or play along? I just don't wanna get my account disabled because unfortunately this is what i do for a living.

All that thing with that big ammount of money sent on my PayPal because of an ''error'' literally never happened. And they just wrongfully took all the cash i had earned.
Either they are lying or got the wrong person but i don't know what to say because they seemed pretty sure on what they said and sounds like a blunt lie.

id inform you. to get much Proof of documents incsae they do Disable you. so you can take that shit to the court house, And sue imvu. incase it would ever happend id grab all the shit they said. and time frazmes of when and what happend to ne honest if that were to happend id say get all documentation and proof incase you do Get Disabeld, then start a law suit. on imvu, with proof. of what happen. because imvu to be honest they are just money hungry ass holes. they dont care about reporting/flags anymore, fuck you can respectable black man in the room for like 50+times and get flaged. and wouldnt even get fucking banned. so what id say is get ur documents time frame of the proof of "lying Debt" you owe. and what ever other shit you can proof to nail them fucking scums.

i don't completely follow what you describe, but my thought would be to ask imvu for the transaction id, i.e., of the transaction for the money they sent to your paypal account. then, talk to paypal support and tell them somebody claimed to have sent you money and give paypal the transaction id.

see what paypal says, and then report that back to imvu.

paypal no doubt has a lot of experience with deadbeats and can probably help you get to the bottom of this. their support may also sort of suck, but they know they will lose customers in the long haul if transactions are not reliable.

as for handling imvu, i would say just be very polite and treat the whole thing like a simple mixup. don't accuse them of lying or ripping you off. just communicate what paypal says, try to follow their suggestion for handling it, all the while telling imvu it must just be a mixup.

imvu must take their relationship with paypal seriously, so they have an interest in clearing things up. because if they don't, they will lose face with paypal (which is no doubt keeping track of any 'deadbeat' incidents).

Unfortunately i've got nor the power nor the money to do such thing. Especially that i'm living in Europe.

Do you think that they're really gonna disable my account? Because there's literally no valid reason whatsoever. What i do all the time is just log in, create and log out. And i've been always using the exact same paypal adress for my payouts and been requesting payouts regulary once per month. Never did anything out of the ordinary.
Also if i'll ever gonna get disabled i'm not going back, had enough. I've asked them nicely about the transaction ID so i can get this checked up with PayPal to provide proof. But if they won't even give me the transaction id well... that's literally stealing and lying.

Imvu is known for disabling accounts once cash is involved in creating and issues arise. Many creators have had this problem for years.

So sad to hear that you are having problem with your cash out from imvu….i would suggest that you keep all documentations….proofs ….screenshot of messages both from paypal and imvu……try to deal with the situation calmly…..getting mad at imvu wont solve your problem…..so just be patient….imvu is well known to disable accounts specially when big amount of money is involve…..so i suggest you be wise in handling the situation…..seek help from paypal as well. Like Don said make raw back ups of your products, perhaps use Datamine's MPR to create chkns for easy reupload should the case arise.

On another note, don't back down, but do be polite. I suggest calling them as well, keep at it till you get a live person to explain it to. I also strongly recommend starting a thread in the imvu forums, they tend to answer those because its public and they don't want a panic to start. Its your money and you earned it. With that being said, are you aware that alot of creators were sent money from imvu and were told to return it? This might be your Issue. And you are unaware. So that the next time you went to cashout they took the money that they were owed instead.

My incident: I was apart of this group. They gave me $590, I sent it back to them when I got their email they sent out. The very next month I went to make a payout and instead they declined and took that same amount, as if I never paid it back. I messaged ShannonMac and he cleared up the situation.
