Sadly for you, if the dev did it correctly, you can't get rid of it, you can only hide it with opacity. However some are good at this and you can't even do that.
What good is a watermark if it can be removed?
In case anyone is still curious about how this works/how they'd go about doing it:
You create your "watermark" mesh in the form you want it to appear unassisted by texture/opacity. Think: silhouette only
Attach your watermark mesh to your product mesh. Your watermark should not be a separate XMF.
Assign a unique material to your watermark mesh. Purposefully "mis-name" (read: don't follow IMVU material naming convention like you normally would) said material. What that does is effectively create an non-addressable material once inside IMVU (ID -1), which is exactly what you want.
Keep in mind: watermarks do not represent any sort of
legal ownership. It has absolutely zero sway with a DMCA agent nor would it be necessary if you somehow found yourself in court. This is more of a way to dissuade ripping and reuploading / a way for you and or your customers to easily tell what belongs to you at a glance.
