Unfortunately, it happens a couple of times during startup and a third time exiting the client making it quite annoying to ignore these warnings repeatedly (especially during startup).

We re-added it to prevent skipping of forced updates, which is trackable by IMVU staff.

@Datamine

Maybe we can add some code that detects a forced update vs an optional update and only skips optional updates?

My account was permanently banned due to using IMVU Lite. IMVU send me this as an explanation "We detected a login on your account using a fraudulently obtained version of our chat software" I wasnt even aware of the possibility this could happen :/
Im so sad. Did this happen to anyone else?

This is wh uh I dont use this client version cause later on they will found out and your account will be perma banned which you invest alot money on it. My account is grandfathered so I'm not risking using this client lol

You cannot prevent the update from popping up…..you just have to ignore it till DataMine updates imvulite.

It happened 5 days ago. Unfortunately I wasnt using the latest version of the client. Did this cause safety problems?
I dont know what version it was exactly as I downloaded the official version immediately after I had gotten the log in error message "you have been disabled for 0 more days".

Do you remember if you had access to the Creator tab without being VIP/Grandfather or if you had the custom number of people on the rooms?

Also, do you still have the IMVULite ZIP directory? because the directory should say the version of it in the name itself .

All you have to do is press the button twice to make it go away, sure it's a tad annoying but not at all difficult or time consuming.

I have no plans to update the client to every minor version, that would eat up way too much time and is not necessary

That could work, there's obviously code to disable the skip button so I'm sure we could tap into that.

I think I had access to the Creator tab and I didn't see the customer number of users in any kind of room (if you mean their ID, a long number with 9 figures)I only used IMVUlite to disable the adds as I feared getting a virus by them.
I can't find any IMVULite ZIP as I have immediately deleted anything connected to the client in the hope of saving my account.

Deleting the files won't make a difference, IMVU only cares about the data on their servers. They can't see what files you have anyway, that would be a massive invasion of privacy and would not only get them sued in the US but also barred from doing business in Europe.
