Before taking the lessons, it is recommended that you have a strong grasp on the basics of algebra and geometry. Simple equations and 3 dimensional graphing are involved.

As lessons progress, after about the third lesson, you do need to purchase a couple of software programs from D.M which automate part of the processes.
